Due to Hurricane Irma, we are currently in the process of rebuilding our property. We are making great headway every day and we are pleased to report that Grand Case Beach Club partially re-opened in November of 2018. Please know that we are still under construction. 5 Awesome Beaches Near Grand Case, St. Martin

At Grand Case Beach Club we’re lucky to have not one but two “private” beaches right in front of our resort. Many of our guests never even find time to leave the resort. However, if you are interested in exploring a bit, here are 5 beaches quite near Grand Case village.

Just around the corner from Grand Case Bay, Friar’s Bay offers a casual atmosphere that’s great for people traveling with families. This is a favorite with locals who like to barbecue here on weekends. There are few boats, jet skis or other motorized craft to disrupt the calm.

The beach’s sheltered location also means the waves are gentle and perfect for swimming. It’s best to make sure there is a lifeguard. If there is no lifeguard, be sure to keep an eye on your kids. There is free parking here, but the parking lot is unsurfaced, so exercise caution with your rental car.

Anse Marcel is a sheltered beach below a large resort, once again on the northern tip of the island. The bay is protected on both sides, so the water here is calm and the beach is popular with families. The marina and shops provide a place to buy refreshments or a light lunch.

Pinel Island is located in the Natural Reserve of Saint-Martin , and a marine trail was created around the lagoon. Take a mask, snorkel and fins to explore the shallow reefs that encircle the island. White buoys mark out where one can safely venture into the sea to discover marine flora and fauna of the Caribbean.

With its paradise setting, this is the quintessential tropical beach. Accessible only by a 10-minute hike through the hills, Happy Bay is one of the island’s most beautiful beaches and has managed to preserve its authentic and untouched charm.

More sugary sand awaits visitors at wonderful Dawn Beach, one of the most popular beaches on the Dutch side. If you are an early riser, Dawn Beach is one of the best places on St. Martin to see the sunrise.

As this beach is a major tourist draw, there are rows of beach chairs and plenty of facilities, ranging from shops renting out snorkel gear to several popular eateries which sell light meals right on the beach. Several reefs close to shore are great for getting a closeup view of the fish.
