If you’re looking for a cool retreat on the island and want to experience some extreme sports while gliding through the tree tops, Loterie Farm is one of the best activities in St. Martin.
Loterie Farm is a secret hideaway nestled in the hillside of Pic Paradis on French Saint Martin where you can wine, dine, climb, hike and glide over the treetop canopy. It is truly an eco-tourism and gastronomical experience you’re not likely to forget or find elsewhere.
Dating back nearly 300 years, Loterie Farm is a lovingly restored heritage property featuring forest trails, hiking, ziplines and other treetop adventures, a pool and plenty of places to grab a cool drink. With over 1000 species of trees growing on the Loterie Farm reserve, including Mangoes, Bananas, Sour Sop, Coconuts and Papaya.
The nature reserve at Loterie Farm is 135 acres located at the bottom of Pic Paradis (the highest peak on Saint Martin) and stretches from sea level elevation all the way to the top of the mountain providing unique hiking trails taking you along the most elaborate flora and fauna on Saint Martin in a lush and dense tropical forest environment.
Once you’ve finished exploring, relax in the cool shade of the forest in a “hidden forest cafe”, a tree lounge, or the cool water of “l’eaulounge”. There’s even a sea lounge if you want to get out on the water.
To get to Loterie farm from Grand Case Beach Club (you’ll need a car or a taxi) head west towards the airport, and turn south when you reach Friar’s Bay – you’ll be heading towards Pic Paradis, the tallest point on the island. In fact, Loterie Farm is located on Rue Pic du Paradis. Here’s a useful Google Map.
