Things to do on Saint Martin: a travel blogger reports

If you’re looking for a good travel blog to learn about sustainable tourism or even what wine to pair with a scuba diving trip to Iceland, you can do no better than Jdomb’s Travels. Husband and wife travel blogging team Tim and Jennifer have visited and written about 43 different countries (all while holding down full-time jobs).

Whether it’s spending time with the Bedouin in Wadi Rum, or snorkeling Silfra (the crack between the North American and Eurasian continents that cuts Iceland in half), they have an awesome travel blog.

Jennifer and Tim have even made it to our corner of the Caribbean, and have said they have fallen in love with our “dual nationality island.”

Their blog post, 10 Things to do on St Maarten is a useful primer for planning a trip to our Caribbean island. They thought of things that we take for granted such as:

  • The ability to dive on St. Maarten without needing PADI certification
  • The awesome Loteria Farm Zipline
  • Taking sailing lessons
  • Eating your weight in lobster (!)

The blog has a lively comments section with even more suggestions for things to do on Saint Martin, such as riding a Segway in Philipsburg.

If you’re thinking of planning a vacation, but sure to check out their travel guide series. Very helpful!

Thank you so much for the lovely shout out! We absolutely love St. Martin and you are located on a very lovely stretch of sand. We always found Grand Case to be not very crowded and the gastronomic capital of the island.
