Public Transportation

Public transportation is available throughout St. Martin. Small buses (minivans) run between major areas. There are no designated schedules or stops, but they are frequent and you can flag them down much like a taxi. The cost range from $1 to $2 US dollars and you should try to have exact change. A sign in the bus's window will indicate the beginning and ending points of the route. Simply let the driver know when you're ready to get out. Buses tend to run infrequently at night and almost never past 11 p.m.

Taxis are also available everywhere on the island. They tend to be more expensive than buses and are set by the government based on how far you travel. Taxis can also charge additional fees for luggage, extra passengers and may impose a surcharge at night. The staff at our Grand Case Beach Club will be happy to call a cab for you!
