Sample Itineraries

A few ideas to make the best of your time on St. Martin

Here are some sample 1 to 3-day itineraries to assist with planning your vacation on St. Martin.

Whether it's just for the day, or for an overnight trip, there are plenty of things to do on St. Martin. To get you started, we've created some sample itineraries, including how to visit other nearby islands.

1 Day Itinerary

Day 1

Go to the Butterfly Farm for the 9am opening so you can catch a butterfly or two being born.

Afterwards enjoy either a horse back ride on Gallion beach - our watersports concierge would be happy to organize this excursion for you. Or you may want to enjoy the rest of the morning learning about the history of our island at The Plantation. This replica of a small Plantation, shows the produce we used to grow and the processes we used. They have a small coffee harvest, and roast and grind their own blend of delicious coffee.

Have lunch at one of the wonderful beach restaurants on Orient beach. Spend the afternoon there enjoying some invigorating jet skiing or paragliding, or walk lunch off by taking a leisurely stroll along the length of the beach, or just kick back and watch the world go by.

End your day with a gourmet dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants in Grand Case.

3 Day Beach Exploration Itinerary

Day 1

Spend the morning on the Grand Case Beach Club beach taking advantage of the free non motorized watersports or sit back and enjoy our beach service. You may choose to book a 2-hour guided snorkeling trip run by our watersports desk at Creole Rock.

Enjoy lunch at Sunset Cafe either on the beach or up in the restaurant.

In the afternoon, go to Orient Beach to enjoy one of the livelier beaches, perhaps enjoy some jet skiing or paragliding, walk off your lunch by taking a leisurely stroll along the length of the beach, or just kick back at on of the beach bars there and watch the world go by.

End your day with a gourmet dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants in Grand Case.

Day 2

Spend the day Exploring some of the beaches on the island.

Start first at Baie Rouge, snorkeling around the northern rocks through the rock arch to a small secluded beach.

Enjoy lunch at Raymond’s, one of the lolo’s found on Baie Rouge. His Pina Coladas are legendary!

After lunch drive off to Baie aux Prunes and enjoy a dip in the sea, before going and checking out Baie Longe. Both are very beautiful and very quiet beaches. ***Note: There is no drink service at these beaches so be sure to buy some take away water from Raymond’s.

Late afternoon drive down to Maho and the Sunset Beach Bar. If you arrive early enough you may see some of the large planes land or take off. Enjoy the sunset and perhaps catch a green flash while listening to some live entertainment.

Day 3

A day of ultimate relaxation. Head to the Islet of Pinel. Take the 5-minute small fishing boat service over to Pinel from Cul de Sac at US$7 per adult round trip.

Spend your day lounging in beach chairs, snorkeling or exploring the island. There is a quiet beach at the back of Pinel that virtually no one goes to.

For the best lobster on the island, we recommend Karibuni on Pinel for lunch, it is just delicious and you can’t get lobster much fresher. ***Note: They don’t accept credit cards so be sure to bring cash.

After an afternoon siesta (it is surprising how exhausting relaxing can be!), head down to Grand Case for some dinner and, depending on the day maybe catch some live music and dance the evening away.

3 Day Adventure Itinerary

Day 1

Go shopping, enjoy wandering around Marigot in the morning, including a wander through the market. Perhaps walk up to the Fort for a perfect photo opportunity of the quaint town of Marigot, the marina and Anguilla.

Enjoy lunch at one of the wonderful waterfront restaurants at Marina Royal in Marigot e.g. Tropicana.

Drive over to Philipsburg for more shopping in the afternoon. Enjoy a drink along the boardwalk at sunset.

In the evening, head over to Maho for dinner and to try to win back some of the money you spent shopping at one of the Casinos. If you still have some energy left, burn it off dancing the night away at Bliss or the Q Club for the modern scene, or at Sopranos for a more traditional jazz scene.

Day 2

In the morning book on the 2-hour guided snorkeling trip run by our watersports desk at Creole Rock. Or, spend the morning on Grand Case Beach Club taking advantage of the free non motorized watersports. If you are still worn out from the previous night's activities you may wish to sit back and enjoy our beach service.

In the afternoon head over to Loterie Farm at Pic Paradis and sail through the trees on the zip lines, or spend the afternoon hiking up the trails to the peak of Pic Paradis for some stunning views.

Hidden Forest Café at Loterie Farm is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner.

End your day with a gourmet dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants in Grand Case.

Day 3

Book a day long boat excursion to explore one of the other islands. You can choose from St Barths, Anguilla, Pinel, Tintemare or Prickly Pear. There are a variety of places to choose from and several different boating options. Our watersports desk crew can review all the options a few days before your planned excursion and find one that suits you best.

After a great day at sea, you may not want to stray too far. Enjoy dinner at Sunset Café or order room service and enjoy a quiet dinner on your balcony.

Breathtaking views of Anguilla and the Leeward Isles

Located along the two best swimming beaches on St. Martin, Grand Case Beach Club features breathtaking views of Anguilla, the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, and offers a unique glimpse of Caribbean culture - our resort is located in Grand Case, a small fishing village on the northwest coast of French St. Martin.

Grand Case provides guests with an escape from the ordinary and the stresses of everyday life. Spacious rooms with views of the ocean or our lush tropical gardens provide a relaxing atmosphere where guests can rejuvenate, or prepare to explore the island.
