Guests are also encouraged to turn off the air conditioning when leaving their room and to participate in our linen reuse program by reusing towels, which helps conserve water and energy.  To minimize single-use plastic waste, we provide toiletries in refillable dispensers and are in the process of eliminating single-use plastic bottles throughout the property. In addition, Nespresso coffee capsules used at the front desk are recycled. We are proud to offer a selection of locally made, eco-friendly beauty products for sale. Health and Safety measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all our guests and staff.  They are subject to change. We are committed to respecting government-imposed safety measures. Each member of our staff has been trained by an approved training Center for the Organization and Management of Customer Relations in Health Crisis Periods. Every room has it’s own air conditioning system and units are spread out in 5 buildings with open corridors and stairwells. ​Our sunny and breezy oceanfront location allows for an abundance of fresh healthy air. ‍ Wearing a mask is optional throughout the public areas in the hotel. Hand sanitizer is at your disposal in all these public areas and we encourage you to use it regularly. ‍ Throughout your stay. Please open windows and sliding doors in the room as much as possible and at least once a day to allow healthy ventilation. ‍ Cleaning service is provided every day. The room must be vacated for 4 hours during this time and we ask that you inform the reception when you leave the room on the day the cleaning is due. If you do not need cleaning service on a certain day, please notify the reception or leave a “Do not disturb” sign on your door. ‍ The swimming pool is open but there can be no more than 10 people at the same time and social distancing must be respected. ‍ Departure – The room must be vacated at 11:00 a.m. to allow for disinfection and complete cleaning of the room for the next arrival.   COMMON QUESTIONS Let’s plan your amazing St. Martin vacation together. We hope to make your St. Martin vacation planning as stress-free as possible by providing answers to some common questions visitors have when traveling to the Caribbean Islands. If further information is required, we invite you to contact us. GCBC Travel Tip If your flight coming to St. Martin has connections, be sure to pack your toothbrush, toothpaste, any medication (in their original packaging), and beach clothes in your hand luggage. Occasionally you might make your connection when unfortunately your luggage doesn’t; if this happens it will normally arrive within 24 hours and will be delivered directly to the hotel. Please ensure you complete a form with your airline before leaving the Airport. Check with your airline as to current regulations for baggage, as they may charge, for both carry-on and checked items. THE RESORTST. MARTIN Do you have a gym at the Hotel? Yes, we have an exercise facility featuring 2 treadmills, an elliptical trainer, a recumbent bike, dumbbells, a universal station, multi trainer and a few accessories to complement your work-out.. which will probably be welcomed after a few Grand Case nights! There use of the gym is complimentary for hotel guests. What other charges does the hotel apply? We do have some fees for other services we provide, please see the list below: Crib – $10 per night Use of the barbeque grill – $10 per usage What are the telephone charges for calling from my room? Americans are very lucky, telephone calls from the States are very cheap, outside of the States we all pay a small fortune for our calls. Local Calls (French Side) – $1 per minute Local Calls (Dutch Side) – $2 per minute Calls to the USA / Canada – $4 per minute Calls to other International Countries – $5 per minute Please note our telephone system does not support free (800) phone numbers. These are charged $1 per minute. Can I access the Internet from my room? We do provide WiFi at no charge to our guests. What do you have in the rooms? We do supply a daily beach towel, so no need to bring them. Also in the rooms is a fully equipped kitchenette, including a microwave, fridge, oven and two coffee makers. A welcome coffee set including American coffee and 4 Nespresso pods is provided in the room.and these are amsp available for purchase at the Front desk. All rooms are equipped with flat screen TVs and International Cable. Irons and boards are provided as well. Hair dryers are located in every bathroom. In the one bedroom, two bedroom and studios with a loft, the sofa pulls out into an additional full-size bed. Could you make restaurant reservations for me before I arrive? Of course we can. Please let us know which restaurants on which day and what time and we will confirm these with you upon check-in. Some restaurants are requesting credit card numbers and/or deposits during certain Holidays, as they are experiencing a large number of no-shows for prior reservations…please do inform them and us if your plans change so we can relay the information to the restaurants. I would like to stay in a certain room or have bedding requests. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee any rooming or bedding requests, however please do let us know what your preferences are and we will endeavor to do our best to meet them. You can contact us via e-mail or call us at + 590 590 87 51 87. What electricity voltage do you have in St. Martin? Our electricity is 220v here so a converter is advisable. Most electronic equipment nowadays have built in converters, which means you just need the American to European two-pin plug adapter. Check the equipment you want to bring to see if this is the case, they should say Input: 110v – 240v. With equipment that needs a converter make a note of the wattage output before you go to buy one to ensure the converter has the wattage capacity for the equipment it will need to run. For example, do not buy a 50w converter if your curling iron produces an output of 1600w. Curling irons and hair dryers tend to have very high wattage outputs. We do provide hair dryers in the rooms and we sometimes have a curling iron for loan, but please don’t rely on this. Most shops and supermarkets take dollars but at an exchange rate, most tend to work on a daily exchange rate basis or thereabouts.   The following is the Hurricane Policy for Grand Case Beach Club. In the event of an official evacuation order, Grand Case Beach Club will not penalize any guest for any unused nights and will also present a voucher valid for a future stay for the same number of nights that the original reservation was for (with a maximum of 7 nights), i.e. you book a 7 night stay and evacuate on day 4. You will not have to pay for the additional nights of your stay and you will be presented with a voucher for a 7 night future stay. In the event of an official hurricane warning issued for the island of St. Martin, Grand Case Beach Club will waive the cancellation penalty and either refund the full deposit, or change the reservation to a future date. Guests staying at the hotel when a warning is issued will be responsible for the remaining nights if they choose to leave early.
